REGISTRATION INFORMATION

We encourage you to join ISHPSSB or update your membership before registering to the conference to benefit from the discounted rates for members. You may do so through the ISHPSSB membership page (https://ishpssb.org/membership/).

Students and post-doctoral fellows will be required, in addition, to show proof of their status at the Conference registration desk (e.g. student card or proof of academic enrolment); post-doctoral fellows will need to show an endorsement by the fellow's hosting institution.

Persons who just wish to attend some sessions without taking an active part in the program (that is to say persons who do not present a paper or a poster, nor participate in organized sessions, but simply wish to listen to some communications) can register as “Visitors”. This status grants access to the conference rooms as well as to the coffee breaks.

Registration includes the Welcome reception and a conference package, and of course gives access to the conference rooms and coffee breaks.

The dinner includes a standing buffet and will de held at SALT, a location by the Oslo fjord combining a nomadic art project, saunas and other venues. A fully licensed bar for buying drinks will also be available at the venue.

Hard copies of the book of abstracts will be available on site, at a price of NOK 120. Participants can pre-order the book using the online system at a price of NOK 102. T-shirts can also be bought on site, at a price of NOK 120.

The ISHPSSB 2019 registration system is now open. Please follow this link: https://tekniskmuseum.hoopla.no/sales/ishpssb2019  to register.

Catering and conference dinner

The catering services of Funky Fresh Foods will be used throughout the conference, including welcome reception, coffee breaks and conference dinner.

Funky Fresh Foods has been the major business in Norway behind the rising interest in the benefits of veganism – including animal welfare, personal health and the impact on the environment. “What we want to put across is that you don’t need to give anything up in order to receive these benefits,” Josefine co-founder and CEO explains. Over 80 % of the food is organic and they are certified ISO 14001 for their environmental work.

The conference dinner will be held at SALT, a location by the Oslo fjord combining a nomadic art project, saunas and other venues. The art project consists of pyramidal constructions called “hesjer”, which are based on traditional coastal construction methods for drying fish in Northern Norway. The dinner will take place in the Bazaar, a 450sqm Bedouin tent with impulses from nomadic desert cultures in the Middle East and North Africa.

The dinner will include a standing buffet catered by Funky Fresh Foods. A fully licensed bar for buying drinks will be available at the venue.

SALT is located a 5 minutes walk from Oslo Central Station. Follow the harbor promenade in direction towards Vippetangen. The closest location on GPS is Langkaia 1. More information available here: https://www.salted.no
